I haven't written much about it, but what is going on with regards to our civil liberties is pretty frightening. I guess the Bushies said to themselves 'hmm, the muslim world hates us for our freedoms, so let's rid of the them. No freedom, no problem.' I am of course exaggerating, we're still a lot more free than a lot of countries are, but it's still pretty bad. I don't want to be less bad than others, I want to be good. Even The Economist, hardly a radical publication, has problems with what those losers are doing.
Here's more proof that the administration is lying.
Pat Buchanan has a pretty bad reputation, but I'm not really sure why. Maybe there's something I've missed, but I've never heard or read him say any racist things. If I'm wrong let me know, but I've become something of a fan of his. I disagree with him a fair amount, but I absolutely don't think he is a bad person, he is sincere in his beliefs, and he speaks in plain english. These are all good things. Plus, he has the ability to see things from other people's perspectives.
I wish that I had watched Bush's press conference the other day, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Listening to his garbled rhetoric is painful enough. Combine that with my low patience for listening to someone whom I know is lying to me just precluded for from watching it for more than about thirty seconds at a time. But here is a list of questions that should have been asked of him. I'm sure he wouldn't have answered them well, but perhaps they would have convinced some people sitting on the fence to see the folly of what they're trying to do in Iraq.
I'll give a little time to the other side by posting Bill O'Reilly. This is kind of a straw man thing to do, but then, just about anyone I post would.
