Here's an interesting take on a commonly accepted use of coercion.
The US is being a huge hypocrite with regards to the Geneva Convention. Of course, when someone points this out, they are denounced for practicing moral equivalence. Iraq may be much worse than the US, but that doesn't mean we are exempt from the same standards as everyone else. I can't rob a murderer, and for the same reasons we shouldn't act above the law. As Charley Reese pointed out recently, you can either operate under the rule of law, or the law of the jungle.
