The similarities between what is happening now and the run-up to World War I are eerie.
If you want to know more about Elvis of academia, here you go.
I'm still not sure of what the best way to protest this 'war' is with our troops in the thick of the fight, but I don't doubt that doing so is patriotic, or at least it can be. Some people are anti-American, and some are just doing it to feel important, but the majority are good people trying to make a difference.
These pretty much sum it up, don't they?
More thoughts on what happens after Iraq.
A real must-read is Robert Novak. He has access to more sources than just about anyone, and is as objective an observer as I have come across. Plus he wrote the intro to The Way the World Works, one of the great books on economics.
George Will gives us a good send off to one of the giants of the Senate, Daniel Patrick Moynihan. I may have disagreed with often, but I always thought he was smart, honest and a patriot. R.I.P.
