There was an anti-war protest tonight in Boston at Government Center. I was going to go, but I decided I couldn't. I am still extremely opposed to the 'war', but I don't think going to a protest is the way to show it at this point. When our troops are actively engaged in combat, I am very careful about what actions I take to oppose the fighting. I don't blame them for what is happening, and don't want them to think that we are anti-military. I can only hope at this point that we actually are received in Iraq as liberators and not as aggressors, even though I am skeptical. Maybe it will all work out, or maybe Bush will have a moment of clarity and realize what a huge mistake he's made and will fix it. I am not optimistic. Anyway, onto other matters:
It looks like members of the administration have been using this situation to enrich themselves. As if I couldn't get any angrier.
The first step in fixing a problem is admitting there is one. The IMF is almost there. The don't seem to understand where their programs have gone wrong, but at least they're admitting that something is wrong.
Here's a translation of various safety posters.
Long live the free market!
I'm not anti-beer, I just think we need to be careful how we use it.
And I'll end on a positive note.
