It's pretty incredible that right now the administration is trying to blame the CIA for not finding unconventional weapons in Iraq. Whom do they think they're kidding? The CIA publicly stated a few times that they didn't view Iraq as a threat, and there were reports of analysts feeling that they were being pressured to report what Rumsfeld and co. wanted to hear. And while this is happening, they're beating the drums for a new war, making sweeping claims reminiscent of what was said about Iraq. We may have a good scapegoat answer for what happened with Iraq about a year after we conquer Iran. It reminds me of some psa-type commercials from my childhood, "When you tell one lie, something something, when you tell two lies, to cover another, when you tell three lies, oh brother, you're in it up to your ears!"
In case you were wondering if there are crimes committed by both sides.
Here's the commencement speech that was booed down, and apparently nearly resulted in violence. I know people might not want to hear this kind of thing at graduation, but still, do what I did and kvetch about boring or offensive or out of place speeches later, maybe boo a little. I mean, storming the podium? Come on.
